Bright Futures Family Pocket Guide: Raising Healthy Infants, Children, and Adolescents, 2nd Edition from National Family Voices.  Developed for families by families, in partnership with the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and other professionals. The beautiful 164-page guide will provide families with:

  • Information about the importance of well child visits for all children, including children and youth with special health care needs 
  • Encouragement to speak up and to take active roles in their children's care

10th Annual Health Summit: 2012

Family Voices of California (FVCA) is a statewide collaborative of locally-based parent-run centers working to ensure quality health care for children and youth with special health care needs.

On March 13-14, 2012, FVCA held its tenth annual statewide Health Summit in Sacramento, bringing together families, advocates, state agency representatives, health policy advocates, legislative representatives, providers and insurers.

The Summit focused on identifying budget issues in California that significantly affect the health care of special needs children and developing strategies to ensure that families in California are able to access family-centered, affordable care.
